The Delhi Safe City project was initiated to create a centralized control room for the efficient management of safety and operational functions throughout the city. Spanning 9000 square feet, this space was developed to provide operators with an advanced environment equipped for seamless real-time operations. Pyrotech Workspace was responsible for delivering a complete interior solution, covering every aspect of the control room’s design and infrastructure.

This large-scale control room serves as the nerve center for monitoring and managing Delhi’s public safety and urban operations. Pyrotech’s comprehensive interior solutions have enhanced the room’s functionality, with specially designed ergonomic furniture, superior flooring for comfort, and well-planned partitions that optimize the workflow. This control room now plays a vital role in coordinating emergency response, traffic management, and various public services, improving overall city operations.

Project Scope

The project’s scope included several vital interior aspects to ensure the control room’s efficient operation:

• ‣ Paneling/Partition:

High-quality partitions were installed to create dedicated spaces for various operational functions. The paneling was crafted to meet the needs of an active control environment, ensuring durability, ease of use, and a modern, sleek appearance that aligns with the room’s operational focus.

• ‣ Glass Work and Paint:

Glass partitions were used to promote transparency and visibility while controlling sound between different zones. The paint scheme was selected to foster a calm and focused atmosphere, with neutral tones enhancing the room’s professional ambiance and ensuring visual comfort for long hours of operation.

• ‣ Electrical Work:

The electrical infrastructure was designed to accommodate the control room’s technological requirements. Pyrotech ensured that all systems were installed with precision, allowing for uninterrupted power and ensuring that critical systems function smoothly around the clock.

• ‣ False and Acoustic Flooring:

False flooring was installed to house and manage the complex wiring systems while maintaining a clean, organized look. Acoustic flooring was selected to provide sound insulation, reducing noise levels in the high-traffic environment. One of the most striking elements of the Delhi Safe City Control Room is the double-height area that provides an open and spacious environment. This feature was essential in accommodating the large LVS (Large Video Screens) that dominate the control room, allowing operators to access real-time data and visual information from across the city. These expansive video displays play a key role in monitoring and managing city operations, enabling quick and informed decision-making.
