Area – 7550 Sq. Ft.
The SCADA control room in Chandigarh was established to oversee and manage the electrical grid’s various components, providing critical infrastructure for real-time monitoring and remote control. Covering an area of 7550 square feet, the project called for a tailored interior design that would accommodate the technological and operational demands of this essential facility. Pyrotech Workspace Solutions took responsibility for a range of interior elements, ensuring a high-performance environment conducive to effective control and decision-making.
This control room plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing electrical power systems in real time, enabling the swift detection of faults and facilitating timely corrective measures. By offering operators a space optimized for remote control, data collection, and event logging, the room supports operational efficiency and improves the stability and performance of Chandigarh’s power supply network. The interior solutions provided by Pyrotech, from ergonomic desks to advanced electrical work, ensure that the operators can function seamlessly and efficiently.
The project scope included a detailed focus on the following key areas, each contributing to the overall functionality and aesthetic of the control room:
The ceiling was designed to enhance both the visual appeal and the acoustic properties of the control room. It plays a vital role in ensuring optimal sound management, creating a quieter environment suitable for focused, long-term work.
High-quality paneling and partitions were installed to separate work zones within the control room, ensuring that different operational functions could be carried out simultaneously without interference. The materials used were selected for their durability and sleek appearance, reflecting the room’s modern functionality.
Pyrotech installed a combination of standard and Italian marble flooring throughout the control room and adjacent areas. The flooring not only provides a clean, polished look but also adds durability, ensuring it can withstand high foot traffic and the demands of a control room environment.
The complete electrical setup was designed to support the high-energy requirements of the control room. All systems, from lighting to equipment power, were installed with precision to ensure the control room could function smoothly without any power disruptions.
Ergonomic desks and furniture were provided to ensure operator comfort and productivity. Each piece of furniture was designed with flexibility and ease of use in mind, allowing operators to work efficiently, even during extended shifts.
Wall cladding was used to enhance the visual appeal of the room while also contributing to sound management. This feature helps maintain a controlled and quiet environment, essential for maintaining focus during high-pressure situations.
A distinctive feature of the SCADA control room is its advanced marble and Italian flooring, which adds an elegant touch to the space. The combination of functional materials and a sleek aesthetic underscores the high standards maintained throughout the project, ensuring the control room is both practical and visually refined.
Pyrotech Workspace Solutions approached the SCADA project with careful attention to the demands of the control room environment. Over the course of six months, the team worked to ensure that each aspect of the project, from electrical installations to desk placement, adhered to the highest standards. The result is a control room that not only enhances operational efficiency but also provides a comfortable and professional workspace for operators.
